The Rebecca Foundation, a non-government organisation led by the First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, has also wished all mother’s a Happy Mother’s Day.

In a post, the she extol the virtues of women as they continue to be the backbone of society.

Rebecca Akufo-Addo is the First Lady of the Republic of Ghana and wife of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, 5th President of the 4th Republic of Ghana.[3]

The lady of the land attended the Primary Department of Achimota School. She is an old student of Wesley Grammar School in Dansoman in Greater Accra Region.

She is the daughter of the judge, Jacob Hackenburg Griffiths-Randolph who did served as the Speaker of the Parliament of Ghana in Third Republic. Rebecca Akuffo Addo once worked at the Merchant Bank in Ghana and later relocated to United Kingdom.

She then worked as a legal secretary for Clifford Chance/Ashurst Morris Crisp all under multinational law firms in the United Kingdom.

According to her, biology is not the only thing that identifies a woman as a mother.

“Being a mother means being there, ever-present support and requires sacrifice. On this occasion, I wish all mothers a happy Mother’s Day,” Mrs Akufo-Addo said.
